MOSCOW, Aug 27 (Reuters) - The Kremlin on Thursday dismissed

rumours swirling in world financial markets that President Boris

Yeltsin had resigned.

"It's just impossible that such a thing could have happened

without us telling you," an official in the Kremlin press office

told Reuters.
